will.i.am teams with Intel on Creative Innovation

will.i.am announced earlier today via Twitter that he has been named Director of Creative Innovation for Intel. "every beat I make is with intel. And now we're partners."

Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Intel Corporation, Deborah Conrad, introduced will.i.am, in his new title, today in Anaheim, CA. will.i.am will engage in a multi-year hands-on creative collaboration with Intel in areas of new technology and music. This may include new devices such as laptops, smart phones and tablets.

Complementing his role with the Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am is already working on music expressly for Intel.

“Nearly everything I do involves processors and computers, and when I see an Intel chip I think of all the creative minds involved that help to amplify my own creativity,” said will.i.am. “Teaming up with the scientists, researchers and computer programmers at Intel to collaborate and co-develop new ways to communicate, create, inform and entertain is going to be amazing.”
